Thank’s God It’s Wednesday

CARAM is proud to launch the new series of monthly gatherings with the aim to bring the community together to have fun, network, and connect on the third Wednesday of every month.
The Ferbruary edition of « Thank’s God it’s Wednesday » gathered many members. The event was a great success as we met new members, while socializing and having fun in a cozy and intimate atmosphere at the Royal vessel!
This is our monthly opportunity to meetup, connect, ask questions, share fun stories and simply enjoy being together as a community

Backgammon Tournament
June 2024 - Lisbon
The second backgammon tournament was held at Beyroot restaurant, at the beginning of June. The event was a great opportunity to get to know the Lebanese community in Portugal and to celebrate Lebanon’s food and culture.
Immigration Q&A
May 2024 - Lisbon
Given the significant changes in the Visa system and some immigration procedures, Caram organized a Q&A session to discuss the concerns of Lebanese migrants and to share our experiences of the process. The event was moderated by Caram and was open to the public, taking place at Zaataria restaurant.
Fête de a francophonie
March 2024 - Lisbon
The Fête de la Francophonie is an annual festival, organized by Institut Français in Portugal. This year’s edition was subordinated to the theme “Create, Innovate and Entrepreneurship in French” and Caram ensured its representation in Village Francophone. The Association also contributed to the festival’s programming, hosting a conversation with the author Charles Berberian and taking part in the walk at Monsanto Park dedicated to francophone culture and sport.
Tombola fundraiser

The fundraiser inaugurated Caram’s 2024 season of events for our community. A lively Tombola afternoon promised an evening of fun and excitement. This event not only offered entertainment and cultural celebration but also fostered community spirit and supported the association’s valuable initiatives.
Basketball game

Collaborating with local Portuguese charities, Banco Alimentar and Entreajuda, Caram organized a memorable basketball event for 15 refugees, bringing joy and sportsmanship to the forefront.
Bowling afternoon

Towards the end of the year, Caram organized a family-friendly bowling afternoon. The event took place at Joker Lounge, in Saldanha, and it was a great opportunity for Lebanese families in Portugal to get to know each other!
