Antoine Kassis

Co-Founder & President 

Antoine is the founder of Kurrant, a strategy, technology and media company in IoT & smart cities. He specializes in growing technology businesses in Europe, US and APAC. Antoine was formerly local president at BEST, a non-profit and non-political organization that provides co-operation and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe.

Jad Bsaibes

Vice-President in charge of Operations

Jad is a seasoned engineer with two decades of experience in energy efficiency. With a strong foundation in mechatronics, he has developed innovative products that empower individuals with ALS and legally blind. His dedication to helping and serving the community is evident in his work, as he continuously strives to create solutions that enhance the quality of life for those in need.

MArtine Harmouche

Vice-President in charge of Events

Having been raised in a family of artistic parents, Martine has a passion for graphics and has worked in New York and London, before retiring to Lisbon. 

Martine works mainly as a social event manager for Caram and her goal is to “reconcile lebanese with each other, and certainly with their country since many arrive here wounded by the latest events in Lebanon”. She is motivated to give the Lebanese community in Portugal a “sense of belonging, to put a smile on their faces through gatherings like a basketball game or a backgammon night”.

Marcel Chamoun

Vice-President in charge of Members Relations

With over 30 years of experience as an Engineer & Projects Manager, Marcel was living and collaborating in more than 18 countries with renowned international companies. Since 2021, Portugal has become his home. Alongside his family, they've embraced the country's beauty, culture, and the genuine warmth of its people. His Lebanese roots add depth to their journey and bridging cultures.

Dima Samaha

Vice-President in charge of Cultural Affairs

Dima  holds a PhD in comparative literature. She taught comparative literature and cultural practices both in Lebanon and in France. Her research focuses mainly on French and English-language Lebanese literature. She’s a co-founder of Rawiya Editions, a publishing house, and she's been living in Lisbon since 2021.

Alternate Board Member in charge of PR & External Relations 

Faek is an architect and project manager with experience in projects of different scales. Having worked across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Faek has honed his ability to adapt to diverse client needs and regional specificities. Building and maintaining strong relationships has been a cornerstone of his approach.

Loubna Ibrahim

Alternate Board Member in charge of Projects and Members Engagement 

Loubna is a leadership and team coach with over a decade of experience in the tech industry. She comes from an entrepreneurial background, building tech products and managing product and design teams. Her expertise lies in guiding professionals to build and maintain high-performance teams, fostering effective team dynamics.

Johnny hanna

Advisor to the Board

From an experienced banker with a global background, Johnny transitioned to real estate development and investment in 2010. Having garnered a significant 15 years expertise in the Middle East, Portugal and Spain real estate markets, he currently oversees and manages a diversified investment portfolio through his personal firm, JH Real Estate.

MAdalena Mota

Operations Manager

Madalena is a Law graduate and she’s currently doing her master’s in Contemporary History. Her interests vary greatly, so she has worked as a producer at international festivals — such as WOMEX 22 or World Youth Day 2023 — but she has also collaborated with organizations that offer protection to migrants and refugees, such as JRS Portugal.

Co-Founder & GA Chairman

After 45 years in Investment Banking and Asset Management, Lemy is now semi-retired. He is involved in charitable activities aiming to provide education and healthcare to Lebanese in Lebanon. He is chairman of the board of trustees of LIFE Generation and a trustee of Impact Charity Lebanon, both charities granting scholarships for higher education to underprivileged Lebanese youth. Lemy believes that united, the Lebanese diaspora can achieve enormous accomplishments while having fun as a community.

Maha Mouchantaf

GA Vice Chairman

Joining Caram Portugal was a natural extension of Maha’s values and aspirations. In her professional life, she is involved in various projects in the field of education and has particular expertise in gender equality and women's leadership. These are very useful assets for the development of some of Caram’s charity activities, but also for its organization in general.

Francisco Granja de Almeida

Vice Chairman & General Council

Francisco is a lawyer, with a specialization in human rights. He holds an LLM in Public International Law and it was in the course of his studies that he established the first contact with the role of multinational corporations in the protection of internationally recognized human rights. Professionally, he was an associate lawyer at VdA — Vieira de Almeida in the Social Economy & Human Rights team, and he is currently a Legal Counsel & Human Rights specialist at Galp.

Sole Auditor

Fouad is an adjunct professor of finance at Nova School of Business and Economics.  His experience includes working for several major financial institutions all over the world.  Fouad is also a part-time director for a small technology company and is often developing new projects. His latest venture involves assisting a Swiss charity focused on helping connect young people from disadvantaged backgrounds via football.
