Our Mission
To serve as a dynamic platform that unites Lebanese and Lebanon enthusiasts in Portugal, fostering a connected, supportive, and fun community while promoting a positive impact within Portuguese society. In this spirit, Caram Portugal channels its energy into empowering and supporting a wide range of initiatives, cultural, social, academic, sports, charitable, and business, that are led by or connected to the Lebanese community in Portugal. It also seeks to deepen ties with the Portuguese people and other communities, celebrating shared values and encouraging mutual collaboration..

Our Values
Inclusive & Areligious: We embrace all beliefs and backgrounds, promoting unity beyond religious differences.
Neutral & Apolitical: We focus solely on community-building and cultural exchange, free from political affiliations.
Impact-Oriented: We prioritize efficiency, transparency, and tangible results in everything we support or deliver.
Collaborative: We welcome partnerships with individuals, groups, and institutions—in Portugal and Lebanon—who share our values and commitment to community building, social relations, cultural exchange, and positive impact.
Our History
Caram was founded in 2022 by a group of like-minded Lebanese living in Portugal. We felt that we could do something together to help other Lebanese in Portugal, but also in Lebanon. Through this simple concept, the idea for Caram was born. We started Caram to provide a gathering place for the Lebanese community in Portugal. For this reason, the name “Caram Portugal” was chosen to highlight Portugal's generosity and its welcoming environment where the Lebanese living here can truly feel at home.

Approach
Caram centres its activities on showcasing and celebrating the positive aspects of Lebanon and focusing on three key areas: (1) arts, culture and entertainment, (2) food and cuisine, and (3) support meaningful causes. The aim of these activities is to build a strong network for Lebanese in Portugal, raise awareness and inform the Portuguese about Lebanon and fundraise to support causes in Portugal and Lebanon.
